Black Friday The Way I See It

I’m a little pissed.
No it has nothing to do with missing out on any Door Busting Black Friday deals, quite frankly they are NOT my thing. Heading out in the middle of the night to wait in line for the shot at saving a little money on a TV or other crap I don’t need is not my idea of fun.
Sometimes they run out of the “cheap” items anyway and you get screwed. Well, not completely screwed… they are more than willing to help you into one of these other (slightly more expensive) models right? My time is worth more to me than that.
No what pisses me off is that my Thanksgiving was uneventful. Nothing crazy happened that I could write about on the blog. I think the main reason for this is because we weren’t with MY family. They are bunch of neurotic, loud mouthed, borderline drunks. I fit right in!
But we went to my Lady Friend’s family, who are much more sane. We had some excellent food, played a couple games, watched football and then played a little football with her nephews. It was fun. But nothing weird or outrageous happened.
So I’m a little pissed. Hopefully something crazy happened at your Thanksgiving dinner that YOU can write about!

Hey, aside from the foul menage-a-troi (we had turducken, a poultry three-way), ours was super uneventful as well. But I am loving the whole Cookie Crisp and Fruit of the Loom-thing you have going on up there.

Did you go out and take those photos yourself? I wanted to go out last night just to see all the crazy people, but I decided to sleep instead. Even more boring.

Nothing crazy beyond me and Laurie’s brother Paul playing Costello and Costello without benefit of Abbot. Thus, I just posted pictures. Realize the anonymous thing makes that a no-go for you, but I suppose you might steal internet pics of other people’s crazy holidays and insert appropriate comments.

When nothing interesting happens, isn’t it up to you to create the mayhem needed to fuel your blog?
You should have got drunk/topped up your buzz and tried to push in on these ques. Now that would have been fun!

Fairly slow holiday for blog material, I agree. Sometimes that isn’t a bad thing.

Even in the middle of low-population america, people came and conquered.
It was insane.
And I finally decided my time is more valuable than spending 6 hours in line to save $100, at the cost of my sanity.
Fuck Black Friday.

I wish there are good deals in my place just like the black Friday sale. But having television for $39 seems a cheap deal to me. I wonder if that kind of deal seems worth waiting for a long line, which I usually see in the sale. Anyway, I hope those people in the line got their deals they were craving for. Thanks for sharing the picture.

I did black Friday shopping once just for the people watching and realized that the people weren’t doing anything watchworthy. Then I bought some $5 shirts for my kids. ‘Cuz kids love getting clothes for Christmas.
I’m with ya, nothing worth getting out of bed for.
