Gimme Some Damn Candy
Posted by Simple Dude | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 31-10-2010
Kind of a quick little non-post today. The lady friend and I picked up a pumpkin to carve, still gotta get some candy for all the neighborhood kiddies. We are not sure what to expect – like me, she always used to leave the lights off to discourage the little rugrats from stopping at her house. So can someone explain to me why each of us separately would ignore the trick or treat tradition, leaving the little shits in our respective ‘hoods high and dry for all these years…. Then, for some damn reason once we are living together we throw caution to the wind and open our doors to the little costumed cretins and their goofy little costumed dogs. Hmmm… The trick for me will be to not eat all the candy myself.
No, thats not my dog, just some poor pooch I found on the net. Some people hate when others dress up animals for Halloween or other occasions. I dont think I would ever do it to my own dog, but when I see animals dressed up… I think it’s hilarious. Pets are here to amuse us after all.. right??
I’ll get into some details about the Halloween party I went to last night and post a pic of the penguin in action sometime in the next couple days – just don’t have the energy or time right now. But it was fun – lots of good costumes.
Also wanted to mention something to ya’ll. (No we don’t say “ya’ll” here in Minnesota. But we do say Ya You Betcha unfortunately) I have been getting occasional hits on my blog from something called Bloglovin. Not McLovin’.. Bloglovin. I wasn’t sure what it was, but apparently it’s a site that indexes blogs, making it easier to follow lots of your favorites all in one place. For instance THIS is a link to my blog on their site. They have blogs search-able or browse-able by the type or genre of blog. Kind of cool – check it out.
Tomorrow night I announce the winner of my big giveaway. Still time to enter – all you have to do is leave a comment telling me you’re interested.
Happy Halloween you scary sons of bitches.

Ya you betcha.

I refuse to say you betcha. I'm not originally from this hell hole so I can refuse to comply. But I will say ya'll because I'm from Florida. Specifically, a trailer park in Florida.
I also frequently sport a kool aid 'stash. Sue me.

Personally I think Ya you betcha is better than y'all. I live in Southern California, but my parents (I mean my dad) says it from time to time…And now he's got me doing it.
PENGUIN! I want to see the penguin suit.

I literally added my blog to Bloglovin' a few days ago, and I'm still unsure if its giving me any benefit-any tips/suggestions? "You betcha" is cute, if someone said that to me I would think they were earnest. Yes, earnest is the first word that popped up in my head. I say "like" and "totally" all the time because I'm from Southern California, but not in a "Hills" sort of way. Hed hed down under

Happy Halloween Dude, I had a dog like that, but his eyes pointed in the same direction. Now I've got a child its fun to dress him up and laugh at the outcome.
Not real sure what you have to do to win the DVD's other than be a follower, which I am and also on Twitter, which i am, but the reason I haven't wanted in before was of the incredible postage it would be to Australia, then I thought "blow that" Gimme free stuff, I want in too.. also awaiting payment for following your site, Kat

Everyone kept asking me whether I was dressing up any of my dogs and the answer was no… I already torture them enough as is with sweaters during the winter (yeah that's like 75 degrees here in Miami).
Also, I spend $15.00 I could've used for groceries yesterday and not ONE damn kid came over my place. I was VERY VERY pissy.

I too think dogs (like children) are allowed to be dressed up (read: embarassed). Sadly, my dogs are too small to fit into any pre-fab costumes at the pet store…maybe next year I'll get off my lazy ass and make something embarassing for them…hmmm *ponders*

We bought $50 worth of fucking candy and then went out last night.
So what do I do with all this damn candy?
I guess we will have to eat it all ourselves.
Like we are not fat enough.
